This patch officially transitions us from pre-alpha to the alpha testing period of Mythfall. Huge thank you to everyone who has provided feedback in these early stages of development. I hope you’ve been enjoying following along and testing the game!
Features #
- A lot of time this patch has been spent setting up a steam playtest application. This will become available in the coming weeks. First to supporters and then to the general public. I am currently working to get the Mythfall builds approved by steam.
- I did some improvements to mob AI to make them feel a bit better, and make them easier to extend. This might come with some bugs in bossfights, so let me know if you see any.
- Add setting for people who want to disable scrollwheel zoom on their character.
- I updated the player death animation to happen more immediately. Previously there was an unecessary server back and forth, causing it to delay your death animation from playing.
Fixes #
- Fix bug where players could heal after they died, making it look like they died with HP. Previously if your HP hit 0 you still had a few (ping dependent) frames to drink a potion, or have lifesteal/regen proc, causing your HP to go positive, but your character still get killed. This doesn’t change gameplay, just the visual part.
- Fix bug where going to 0 window size causes the cameras to get messed up.
- Fix bug where chest and portal entrances were spawning at the same location.
- For the web build, the new way to go fullscreen is to press F11. This is the only way to prevent escape from closing the fullscreen.
